Outsourced Community Management: Agency to B2B Social Media ...

Outsourcing community management is a cost-effective way for companies to run successful social media programs even if they don?t have the internal social media resources to support such activities on their own.

Sometimes a company?s marketing department is in the midst of developing internal resources and engages with a third-party community manager to provide strategic and practical guidance to help them get their footing before taking over social media activities later on.

Other times, a company is too small or new to have its own marketing department, but realizes the benefits of social media as a relatively inexpensive marketing program. It hires an experienced, external community manager to run its program, saving the cost-heavy training and trial-and-error activities required to learn the platforms on its own.

Establish a single point of contact

Depending on the size of the organization, you may need to establish a few points of contact for each major department, such as sales, marketing and the c-suite. However, communications are most efficient when there is one person who acts as a direct line to the company. This person has committed to the agency to respond promptly to social media notifications, direct posts of interest onto the appropriate parties in the company to respond, and relay that content back to the agency to proof read and post (if those are indeed the expectations laid out in the proposal and strategy).

Decide means of communication

As I hope you are well aware, there is a plethora of new tools available today that help agencies and clients communicate. We have email, collaboration platforms, Skype and social media platforms, to name just a few. I?ve used every one of these tools to coordinate social media activities with clients. As there are so many messages flying back and forth between agency and client, there needs to be a system in place to ensure messages don?t get lost in the kerfuffle. Decide on one platform that works best for everyone and hold to it. If you have to get in touch with multiple people at an organization, email can sometimes be the best option as most people are familiar with it. However, if you have a sole point of contact, I recommend using social media platforms themselves for communications. For example, I direct message tweets to a client representative for her to review and then post on the account. Everything is done in one place, making it one seamless process.

I have to give it to Emily for being straightforward and honest with "her boys" on "The Bachelorette." Each one-on-one time is filled with, shall I say, normal conversation with her intentions clearly laid out on the table. If the bachelors don't prove that they can fit into her life as a future husband and father, she has no problem escorting them to the door in her tight-fitting gold sequined ball gown and black Ugg boots. After seven seasons of "The Bachelorette," you'd think the show would become stagnant, but Emily has no problem making her own rules to help thin the herd. There were many moments in this week's episode that were uncharacteristic of this show we've all come to love and loathe. You break dance? You're kicked out. You continue to carry around a ridiculous egg? You're kicked out. You compromise? You're out. All with the grace and charm of a true southern lady, of course.

Five Examples of How Honesty is the Best Policy

1. Boy vs. Man
Young Chris drew the first one-on-one date card and we were once again forced by ABC producers to witness a pair of strangers scale a building and talk about facing fears and conquering obstacles together. After defeating the climb, Emily was thrown a curve ball when she learned that Chris is 25-years-old even though he acts and looks much more mature. Unfortunately, a suitor who graduated a year later than her in high school is not on a check on the "pro" side of the column and she lets him know it. These negative feelings are mitigated with the gentle crooning of Luke Bryan and a swarm of people who just happened to be in downtown Charlotte gathered around the lucky couple as they swayed back and forth, eighth-grade dance style. Even though Chris received the rose, he's going to have to man up. This is not achieved by confessing to the camera that you want to kiss her, but are too chicken to go through with it.

2. Play Date Reconnaissance
It's week three and Emily give her friends permission to help thin the herd while Little Ricki's entire class played around them in a community park playground. These women took their responsibility seriously. For the most part. It is my hope that Emily's friend Wendy hit the sauce earlier than usual that day because she was nervous about being on national television. That is the only logical reason that she behaved the way she did. Sure, I was fully engaged when she insisted that Sean remove his shirt and do push-ups for her, but was it really necessary for her to sit on his back while he performed the request? With that said, I think the show needs a little more Wendy in future episodes. Bring on the crazy. And tell the ABC intern not to forget the shot of Vodka in her juice box.

3. Fat Bottomed Girl
Ryan appeared to have an upper hand in the competition from last week's one-on-one date, but quickly fell down a few notches when he crashed girl talk during the "see who can hang with elementary kids" scheduled play time. One of Emily's confidants noted that Ryan was "put together in a pretty, but manly way" (OK, it was slurred and it was Wendy) and it somehow came about that Emily was apologizing for not being dolled up at the park. Obviously, she was fishing for a compliment. Daftly, Ryan confided that he wants a woman who is always put together. Five women eyed him carefully as he explained he would love Emily if she chose to "get lazy," but he wouldn't love on her. Emily: "He has the guts to tell me that I better not get fat. I don't know how I feel about that." Much like the bump-it in his hair, Emily, I'd suggest you proceed with caution when it comes to Ryan's questionable motives.

4. All the Kings Horses and All the Kings Men
You probably don't recognize Travis' name because you affectionately refer to him as The Egg Guy or Humpty Dumpty. Of course, Emily's entourage peppered her with questions regarding the strange dude who carries around a dragon egg like it was a security blanket. Travis got the message and ceremoniously escorted Emily out into the courtyard to free himself from further embarrassment (and the responsibility of making sure the egg was kept safe from harms way). The best decision he made was to allow Emily the honor of smashing the egg to smithereens before the ABC intern was sent to clean up the mess. One moment that will go down in "Bachelor" history is when a handful of men raised a glass to "Shelly" and toasted her over easy demise. I love this show.

5. Home is Where Your Kid Is
In case you didn't know from the 30 minutes dedicated to this story arc, Tony is a single dad who really misses his kid. ABC led us to believe that Emily would have pity on this guy and really bond over the fact that she can relate to his anguish. She did. He continued to cry. She returned and just when I thought he was either milking it for the camera or just needed to get over the fact that he signed up for a dating show that could quite possibly take him away for several weeks if things went well, Emily decided for him. He was too emotional and there was not enough attraction for him to stay. She escorted him directly to a taxi and continued her group date. Nice! Later, she did the same with one of the Andros who point blank told her that marrying her and raising Little Ricki would be a compromise to his gypsy lifestyle. There were no hard feelings as she escorted the Latino Brad Pitt to his exit suburban.

Next week looks just as interesting. Doug will wear a tight tee. Arie will prove once again that he's the best kisser on the show and Kalon will help his fellow bachelors choose the most appropriate luxury items for their group date. I can't wait.

When I was a young child I had many allergies and medical problems and still take meds for some of the problems.

Allergies: Nut?s,paticuarly peanuts, Scrambled Eggs,Cat?s,Dog?s ,legumes,mold?s,dust and feathers. Again these were diagnosed at a young age and may not all be allergic today, I am 16 now. As if you may have found this hard to belive I also had ezecma which is not that bad now. I also was diagnosed whith ashtma and I still get a inhaler every year although the ashtma was never severe and has decreased, although I notice I may have some minor problems once and a while. And to top it all off I also at age 7 was found to have a lazy right eye, 20/200 at the time. I had treatment for that and I belive my right eye recently has been tested to be between 20/30 and 20/40 depending on who did the test. I wouldn?t say these medical problems have ruined my life. I had behavior problems as a young child paticuarly before they found that my right eye was blind. Why so many problems?

I can definitely relate with you. I have a lot of allergies (peanuts, cats, dogs, mold, dust, horses, ragweed, trees, and fragrance, along with many antibiotics) as well. I?ve also had asthma since I was young. I?m currently on an allergy medication, an allergy nose spray, and Advair for asthma. I also suffer with eczema that is caused by my allergy to fragrance or because of my skin?s oversensitivity to my own sweat. I definitely don?t think these problems have ruined my life by any means, but they have made it a challenge sometimes! I know for a fact that my mom did not breastfeed me, and I?ve heard that children develop certain immunities from that. Also, there is a genetic history of asthma in my family, so that?s what I attribute my asthma to. You might have a lot of problems, but there?s always someone who has it worse. At least none of your issues are life-threatening (as long as they are treated correctly and good precautions are taken!). I wouldn?t spend a lot of time questioning why you have so many problems. A lot of these issues are common (especially the allergies and asthma) so I wouldn?t fret about those. If you need to, you can probably find support groups for your issues, and you?ll be able to relate with those people as well.

Kyle Busch captures pole for Sprint All-Star race

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) ? Kyle Busch has been a force on the NASCAR circuit for years, but of is 24 Sprint Cup victories, none have come at his favorite track ? Charlotte Motor Speedway.

He has nine top-10 finishes in 16 starts. Victory lane, though, has proven to be elusive.

He's hoping that's all about to change after capturing the pole for Saturday night's Sprint All-Star race for the second straight year. Busch completed the unique three-lap qualifying that included a mandatory four-tire pit stop in 1 minute, 59.11 seconds, wrestling the pole away from Ryan Newman.

While winning the pole puts Busch and his No. 18 Toyota in great position to win his first All-Star race, it certainly doesn't guarantee a first-place finish ? and the $1 million prize that comes with a win. In fact, winning the pole has proven to be a bit of a curse.

The last pole winner to win the All-Star race was Davey Allison in 1992.

Just don't tell Busch that.

"I don't have a win here in a cup car, so we're definitely trying to break through that threshold," Busch said. "To do that you have to be able to put a whole night together and I haven't been able to do that here in the past. Last year we ran a smart race and a good race, but we came up a little short. Hopefully the lessons we learn there will allow things to turn out different this time."

It appeared for a while that Newman's time of 1:59.82 might hold up after 17 other drivers were unable to beat him. However, Busch, who was the fastest during practice and the last driver to hit the track for qualifying, pushed Newman to the outside row.

Denny Hamlin will start third, followed by Greg Biffle and Kevin Harvick. Jimmie Johnson qualified sixth, while Paul Menard, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Regan Smith round out the top 10.

Defending champion Carl Edwards will start 13th.

The All-Star race format has changed significantly this year.

The 90-lap race will be split into four 20-lap segments preceding a 10-lap shootout. There will be a mandatory pit stop prior to the final 10 laps.

The new format places a premium on winning one of the four segments and showcases the importance of the pit crew. The winner of each segment will move to the front of the field right before the cars head down pit road for their mandatory stop. Drivers will then line up in the order they leave pit road to start the final segment.

Busch's strategy is to win the first segment.

"If you win that first segment that sets your pace for the whole night," Busch said. "From that point out all you have to do is stay out of trouble and make it to their final segment where they have the realign and you start in the top four."

Veteran crew chief and former team owner Ray Evernham says the new format forces teams to have a fluid strategy.

"Nobody can sit here and say this is what we're going to do. You've got to perform on the fly," Evernham said.

Evernham said track position is vital.

"I would want to keep my car in the top four positions," he said.

The field currently consists of 20 drivers, but will grow to 23 when the green flag drops Saturday at 9 p.m.

Included are race winners from last season through the May 12 race at Darlington and previous All-Star race winners from the past 10 years. Three more will be added Saturday before the race ? the top two finishers in the 40-lap Sprint Showdown as well as the winner of the Sprint Fan Vote, which is almost guaranteed to be Dale Earnhardt Jr. should he not qualify in the preliminary race.

A.J. Allmendinger captured the pole for the Sprint Showdown after running what he said was "the perfect lap" in qualifying Friday night. He'll start on the front row alongside Martin Truex Jr.

Despite not winning a Sprint Cup race since 2008, Earnhardt remains the most popular driver in the NASCAR series and used the fan vote to advance to All-Star race last season.

He knows that any win, even a non-points All-Star race, would provide a huge boost.

"I think it would get people excited; it would get our team excited," Earnhardt said. "It would really help build confidence. I remember when we won here in 2000 how much confidence it gave me. Winning this kind of event would do wonders for our team."

Loretta Lynn married at 15, not 13

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) ? Country music legend Loretta Lynn is three years older than she has led people to believe, an age change that undermines the story she told of being married at 13 in "Coal Miner's Daughter," documents obtained by The Associated Press show.

Lynn's birth certificate on file at the state Office of Vital Statistics in Frankfort, Ky., shows that Loretta Webb was born on April 14, 1932, in Johnson County, Kentucky. That makes her 80 years old, not 77. Also on file is her marriage license and two affidavits from her mother, Clara Marie Ramey, and S.W. Ward Jr., who was not related to the family, listing the same birthdate.

The records weren't filed until 1965, which meant that Lynn needed multiple documents to prove her age at that time. Lynn's signature appears on the document as Loretta Webb Lynn.

Melvin Webb lists his daughter "Loretta" as 7 years old for the 1940 Census, according to a digital copy on file at the Kentucky Historical Society. Lynn's marriage license, obtained by the AP from the Johnson County clerk's office lists her as 15 on Jan. 10, 1948.

In "Coal Miner's Daughter," the autobiography that became an Academy Award-winning film, Lynn told a different story ? that she was married at 13 and was a mother of four by 18. Most books and public references to Lynn list her current age as 77.

When contacted by the AP, Lynn's spokeswoman, Nancy Russell of Nashville, Tenn., declined comment. She said that Lynn has told her before in no uncertain terms, "If anyone asks how old I am, tell them it's none of their business!"

Lynn's younger brother, Herman Webb, declined to disclose Lynn's age, although he said there might have been a "mix-up" with Lynn's paperwork after she moved to Nashville to launch her country career. Her parents and many other relatives are dead, including her husband, O.V. "Mooney" Lynn.

Certainly Lynn isn't the first celebrity of a certain age to be less than forthcoming about a birthday, but the discrepancy is significant because age isn't just a number for the Country Music Hall of Fame member. It is woven into her compelling life story, made famous in her 1976 bestselling autobiography, "Coal Miner's Daughter," and the subsequent film starring Sissy Spacek. The movie made $67 million nationwide and was nominated for seven Oscars; Spacek won for her portrayal of Lynn.

The Grammy-winning singer recently announced that it will become a Broadway musical, starring actress and singer Zooey Deschanel.

The way Lynn chose to tell it in the book, she was married at 13, moved with her husband to Washington State at 16 and was a mother of four by 18. Lynn has six kids in all. The marriage certificate shows that Lynn instead married just shy of her 16th birthday, which was not unusual in Kentucky at that time. Her husband was 21.

It would have been illegal for a girl under the age of 14 to marry in Kentucky in 1948, said R. Eric Henninger of the Kentucky State Law Library. At that time, he said, "lots of folks didn't have any sort of official proof of age."

An AP reporter recently found Lynn's birth certificate online that listed a different birthdate from the one listed in the news agency's database of celebrity birthdays. The reporter changed the date in the database; when the new birthday was used in a recent story, the Country Music Hall of Fame contacted the AP about the discrepancy.

Lynn addresses the perils of disclosing her age in her autobiography.

"When I was born, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the president for several years. That's the closest I'm gonna come to telling my age in this book, so don't go looking for it," she writes. "I'm trying to make a living singing songs. I don't need nobody out there saying, 'She don't look bad considering she's such-and-such years old.'"

Lynn's co-author on "Coal Miner's Daughter," New York Times sports columnist George Vecsey, said in a phone interview that he did not verify the age claims in the book with official documentation.

"It's her book, and I never saw a birth certificate, marriage license. It's what they told me," he said. "I couldn't say that she was the one who told me first. Between her manager (David Skepner) who has passed and her husband who has now passed, it was at least three different people telling me that."

Vecsey said he did not want to speculate on what the age difference means to Lynn's narrative.

Lynn's daughter, Patsy Lynn Russell, did not respond to emailed requests for comment.

Webb, her brother who lives in their hometown of Van Lear, Ky., believes "there might have been a mix--up somewhere along the line" when Lynn first arrived in Nashville and signed with the Wilburn Brothers.

"When she was with Teddy and Doyle (Wilburn), she just don't tell her age after that," he said. "I think they got some of her paperwork messed up."

Webb declined to comment on Lynn's age. When asked his own birthday, like a good brother, he replied: "I was born a year and a half after she was."

Research supervisor Walter Bowman at the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives said in the early '30s it was more common for people to register their prized horses or livestock than the births of their children.

Not until the Social Security system was founded in the mid-1930s did parents have a monetary reason to put their kids on record.

Social Security Administration officials said privacy laws prevent them from releasing information about any living person, including a birth date.

Music journalist and author Robert K. Oermann, who wrote "Finding Her Voice" about women in country music, said nothing can overshadow Lynn's accomplishments.

"In the 1960s, you didn't have the 24-hour news cycle, saturation of personality journalism that you have today. So what appealed to people was the fact that the songs were so extraordinary. Her singing was so great. Everything about her was so refreshing and country," he said.

"It wasn't until much later that people became aware of her backstory, but the music itself is what made her a star. The biography, the life story was just the icing on the cake."

In 1972, Lynn became the first woman to be named entertainer of the year by the Country Music Association. She is known for hits, including "Coal Miner's Daughter," ''You Ain't Woman Enough," ''The Pill," ''Rated X," and "Don't Come Home A' Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)." Her last top 10 record as a soloist was "I Lie" in 1982.

Nurses' pre-NATO rally expected to draw thousands

CHICAGO (AP) ? Thousands of nurses and other protesters planned to rally at a downtown Chicago plaza Friday ahead of a two-day NATO summit and as a prelude to a much larger demonstration expected this weekend.

Meanwhile, many office buildings in the usually bustling city were closed after workers were warned to stay home because of heightened security, snarled transportation and the possibility of unruly protests.

National Nurses United officials have said they expect about 2,000 nurses to attend Friday's rally, where they will call for a "Robin Hood" tax on financial institutions' transactions to offset cuts in social services, education and health care. City officials expect the rally to draw more than 5,000 because of a performance by former Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, an activist who has played at many Occupy events.

In a sign of the building tension, lawyers for protesters said Chicago police, with their guns drawn, raided an apartment building where activists were staying and arrested nine people on Wednesday night. The Chicago chapter of the National Lawyers Guild said officers broke down doors in the building in the South Side Bridgeport neighborhood and produced no warrants.

"The nine have absolutely no idea what they're being charged with because they were not engaged in any criminal activity at all," said guild attorney Sarah Gelsomino. "They're really very confused and very frightened."

The Chicago Police Department refused to comment. Gelsomino said a bond hearing was scheduled for noon Friday.

Chicago was originally going to host the G-8 economic summit too, and the nurses' rally was initially intended to coincide with that. But the G-8 summit was moved to Camp David, Md. Midwest Director Jan Rodolfo said the nurses decided to go forward with the rally in the hope that their message would reach a worldwide audience.

"What we really hope for is a large, festive, hopeful, constructive tone regarding the Robin Hood tax and that everyone in attendance feels like they're part of a moment in history," Rodolfo said. She said the movement has much more momentum in other countries and "we're hoping to put it on the map" in the U.S.

Early Friday, the U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command planned to hold training flights with F-16s and other military aircraft over downtown Chicago in preparation for securing the city's airspace during the summit. Other small protests, including one targeting climate change, are planned.

Scattered protests over the past week have been relatively small, including a march through the "Magnificent Mile" shopping district that drew about 100 people Thursday.

But the much larger nurses' rally will mark a ramp-up to Sunday's anti-NATO march by underscoring that money spent fighting wars means less money for health care, education and other social programs, said Andy Thayer, an organizer of the anti-NATO march. His group ? Coalition Against the NATO/G8 War & Poverty Agenda ? has been working to draw those connections ever since President Barack Obama moved the G-8 summit, potentially dampening enthusiasm for a Chicago demonstration.

"I think it's really going to be big ... with the nurses," Thayer said. "That is going to be the 99 percent staking itself against the 1 percent, drawing the connections between the war abroad and the war on working people here at home.

"They are the front-line caregivers ... and the nurses to their credit understand the connections between NATO, G8 and the deplorable state of health care in our country and are speaking out about it."

Estimates of how many might show up Sunday have varied widely, from a couple thousand to more than 10,000. Busloads of demonstrators from around the country have begun arriving in Chicago, though some who had planned to come, including from the Occupy movement, have said they're staying home or going to an area near Camp David instead.

But some activists are anticipating they'll be joined by many more people than expected.

"Chicago has a reputation for resisting," including a 2003 demonstration against the Iraq War that flooded downtown Chicago with 10,000 people, said one of Thursday's protesters, Salek Khalid, a 21-year-old student at Northwestern University. "I feel comfortable saying Chicago will live up to its reputation, hopefully peacefully."

Police and the Secret Service have taken no chances, as Obama and 50 heads of state begin arriving for the NATO summit, where leaders will discuss the war in Afghanistan and European missile defense.

Security is high on trains. Barricades and fences have been erected around landmark buildings. Streets are being closed. And world-class museums are shutting down.

Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said Thursday that the protesters so far "have been very well behaved." He said he did not anticipate that the tenor of Friday's rally would be different, but that if it is, "We are going to carry through with what we said we were going to do. We're going to facilitate the rights of these individuals while preventing criminal actions."

Is it illegal to record and post noisy neighbors having sex?

A recent post by a Reddit user who shared a friend's cyber-savvy solution for noisy?neighbors?having sex?attracted almost 2,000 comments. To teach the loud lovers a lesson, the friend reportedly recorded the cries of passion (along with someone shouting for the couple to shut up), uploaded the recording to "social sound platform" SoundCloud, then posted a note on the offending neighbors' door telling them exactly what happened.

"This is really tapping into SoundCloud's full potential," wrote one commenter.?

"That was, without a doubt, the worst Ke$ha song I've heard yet," wrote another. "It's like she's not even trying anymore..."

Hilarity continued to ensue. One Redditor even remixed the NSFW sounds into a dubstep before SoundCloud removed the naughty noises from its site. Of course, the recording clearly violated SoundCloud's terms of service, which?prohibits content that is "abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, racist, sexually explicit, ethnically or culturally offensive, indecent" ? you get the picture.?What's not so clear, however, is whether recording your neighbors having sex and then?posting it on the Internet is breaking the law.

SoundCloud is a new platform, but shaming neighbors by sharing their sex sounds on the Internet is nothing new ?? neither is the question of its legality. Way back in 2010 (half a century in Internet years), one such sleep-deprived netizen crowdsourced Yahoo! Answers with the very same question:

?Is it illegal to record neighbors having sex and put it on the internet?

JUST THE NOISE not the sex.

There was no real consensus, but no shortage of opinions, ranging from noisy culprits having no expectation of privacy and a suggestion to sound proof with foam board, as well as one request to record the neighbors and "send it to me haha."

"You shouldn't put it on the Internet," wrote one Yahoo commentator named Jack.?"But you can get away with it as long as they aren't identified. Putting it on their door is not okay, as they will then press charges for spying and blackmail."

Forget that infamously unreliable forum;?even experts like?Mark Rasch, former head of the United States Department of Justice computer crime unit, told me that there's no clear answer.

"You could possibly make a crime out of it under the federal wiretap law," known formally as the Electronic Communications and Privacy Act, explained Rasch, who is now director at?CyberSecurity and Privacy Consulting, CSC. "But I'm not aware of any cases where someone is capable of being heard in the public has been prosecuted," he said in an interview.?

?As?Jeff Hermes, director of the Digital Media Law Project, Berkman Center for Internet & Society?told me, "As soon as you get past the federal wiretap law, you're entirely dealing with state-by-state laws about concealed recording." Some states require only one person be aware the conversation is being recorded; in other states, both parties must know. Here's a state-by-state guide reporters use for that very reason.?

Both Rasch and Hermes deem criminal prosecution iffy, and they don't put much stock in a civil lawsuit, either. That's because of a bit of tort law, which covers behavior that isn't necessarily illegal, but still causes unfair suffering. In this case, legal eagles might look at "intrusion upon seclusion":?

One who intentionally intrudes, physically or otherwise, upon the solitude or seclusion of another or his private affairs or concerns, is subject to liability to the other for invasion of his privacy, if the intrusion would be highly offensive to a reasonable person.

"It's an interesting factual question," noted?Hermes. "Maybe there was an intent to inflict emotional distress and cause embarrassment," what with the note posted on the door. "But nobody else could tell who it was (on the recording) so how could it cause embarrassment??The result would vary depending on how individual states interpret their common law torts."

But did the loud couple in question have an expectation of privacy? Not so much.

"Obviously people engaged in intimate activity don't expect that they will be recorded, but if you live in apartment with thin walls, you run the risk of not only that your neighbors will hear you but that their observations may find their way to the Internet," Rasch said.?

So recording your neighbors having sex and posting it on the Internet: Legal or not??

"It's probably offensive and silly and?all that stuff, but probably not a crime," concluded Rasch.

So there you have it.?Facebook, Google, Anonymous, the feds, recently deposed "revenge porn" czar Hunter Moore ? we worry so much about how larger-than-life entities might ?? legally or illegally?? exploit us on the Internet. We can lock down our privacy settings, encrypt our nude pictures or stay off the Internet entirely. Yet as the Reddit post reminds us, the business we fail to keep private can be exploited at the hands ?? and recording devices ?? of our very own neighbors. And there really isn't much we can do about that.
